課程概述 |
The seminar looks at the process of economic transition in China. Special attention will be paid to the current economic policy issues. Examples:
a) Can China Sustain Its Rapid Economic Growth?
b) What’s Driving Investment in China?
c) Is China Mercantilist?
d) What Accounts for the Rising Sophistication of China’s Exports?
e) Is China Exporting Deflation/Inflation?
f) What Will WTO Membership Mean for China and Its Trading Partners?
g) Is Globalization Good for the Poor in China?

Napoleon said, “If China awakens, the world will tremble.” China has woken up. According to World Bank forecasts, by 2020 the Chinese economy could be as much as 30% larger than the U.S. economy is today. Think you should know something about this part of the world? The seminar attempts to offer some basis for evaluation of the future of the Chinese economy. |
